Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh

I was looking in my drafts, and came across this post that I was so excited to talk about but never got around to finishing, so I felt like reviving it today. These photos are from the Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery in London. I’ve been thinking about London a lot lately, and missing my weekly adventures. This was one of my coolest adventures yet. I’ve been interested in ancient Egypt since I was about 8 years old. I read every ancient Egyptian kids book, went to exhibitions, watched videos and documentaries, you name it. I was so invested and loved it because their way of life was just so different and seemed to have so much meaning and purpose. I could go on forever about what I learned growing up but I don’t want to bore you haha. Anyway, this exhibit was cool because the last time I’d gone to a Tutankhamun exhibit I was about 7 in Chicago. I didn’t really remember much (my dad found a souvenir I got from that time which was soo cool) so it was nice to see things in a new light and understand more. There we’re objects on display that had never been taken out of Egypt before which was really cool, and of course I took more photos that the ones I’m leaving for you below. But have a scroll! It’s all so interesting to look at, even if you don’t know the backstory. I’m not sure if the exhibit will still be in London after the pandemic but definitely check it out if you have the chance!
