During my time in self-isolation, I’ve revisited my love of baking and tried making chocolate chip cookies for the first time. While I was making them, I documented the process on my iphone, and later decided to edit it into a short video. I love how it came out, so I posted it on my IGTV. Now I’m posting it here for anyone who didn’t see it on IGTV because making a short video made me so excited for the first time in a long time. Hopefully I can continue to making more short videos (baking, fashion, beauty) during the rest of my self isolation. Hope you like it 🙂
Milano is one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to (especially during the holiday season). For as long as I could remember, I’ve dreamed of going to Italy and eating my favorite foods, drinking wine, and shopping. Sadly I only had a weekend to do all of that, but it was one of the best weekends of my life. A friend of mine was living there for a few months, so I bought a plane ticket, planned my trip, and left London on Black Friday weekend.
Everything just seemed oddly familiar to me, like I’d visited before. It was exactly what I thought it would be like, yet nothing like what I thought at the same time. But I must say, the food was EXACTLY what I thought it would be like. Fresh, flavorful and to DIE for. Best pasta and bruschette I’ve ever had.
There was so much culture and history everywhere that I went, and I could just feel it there. Everything was so beautiful and it sometimes felt like I stepped back in time.
It’s definitely a place I want to visit again in the future, and hopefully you and I both will get the change to tour the rest of Italy! And of course, eat all the food.
While my parents were in London, we went out to Westminster to meet with my dad’s friend. The sun was shining, and the breeze was perfect, and I just had a moment where I felt extremely grateful. I always feel grateful, but this time was so different. I just felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be, and I was doing everything I’m meant to, and I rarely have that feeling. The second photo is the background of the first photo, through my eyes. And what I saw while I was thinking about everything it took for me to get to where I am now. There’s not many photos in this post, but I just felt like sharing 🙂
On September 20th (yes I’m extremely late haha) I celebrated my 20th birthday, which was also my Golden Birthday! It was one of the most special birthdays I’ve ever had and I felt so grateful and loved, even though I’m 1000’s of miles away from the rest of my friends and family. Sadly this was also my first day of school, but I made the most of the day and still enjoyed it.
To start the day, I had breakfast at The Grand cafe in Green Park with my parents, and rushed to class after. After class, we went to Wildwood in Covent Garden, and to Milk Train for dessert (MY FAV). Throughout the day other little things happened that made me feel really special but I’ll spare you all the details. Needless to say, it was just a really good day.
Some photos of me at my favorite place. One thing I love about my home so much is the beach. I’m an earth sign and the sea just makes me calm and relaxed. On this day, the waves were rough and the water was murkier than usual but I still enjoyed it all the same.
Milk Train cafe in Covent Garden is one of my favorite places in London that I’m missing and craving a lot right now. They have some of if not THE best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had. They have so many quirky topping like cotton candy and popcorn, and you get so much served to you for what you pay for. I definitely recommend it if your in or around London. Here’s a couple of snaps from my most recent visit with my parents.
Cirque De Soleil shows are my favorite shows to go see live. I’ve only been to two, but they’re so much fun. My mom came up to London to visit me so I planned for us to see the Totem show. There was a lot going on, but to make a long story short it was about everything in the world. Animals, tribes, evolution, different cultures and everything in between. Here are some photos I took before the show.
This was one of my favorite days in London. The sun was shining, the wind was lightly blowing, and I spent the day in Kensington Palace. My friend and I attended the Princess Diana exhibit which I posted a while back (make sure to check it out!). We spent some time out in the garden, watching the swans and taking cute photos, as usual.
I hope you really achieve everything that you want in this rollercoaster life of yours. You’ve hustled since you were 14 for this and I hope that you not only get where you want to go, but enjoy every second of it. I hope that you find the peace that you’ve sought after for so long and that the battles you stressed about are no longer your concern. I hope you get to name nail polishes, make a perfume, collaborate with a makeup line, create a song, and do that swimsuit line you’ve been wanting to do. I used to think that our dreams were too big are too outside the box but if Rihanna can do all of it, you definitely can. I hope that your kids come out beautiful and full of passion and that they’re healthy. I hope that your beach wedding is fabulous! And I hope that whatever friends you have at the time aren’t being assholes. I have so much hope and faith in you to live our life to the absolute most so I hope you’re doing me proud. If you’re reading this and you haven’t made it that far, like you just graduated uni, I hope you get the dream industry job you wanted (the net a porter one, you know the one)! And I hope that you managed to keep good connections with the friends I made, because they are so so special (and you could definitely make magic with them later). Lastly, I hope you got to travel and are still traveling. I hope you’re not afraid to be alone and you do whatever the hell you want to do whenever the hell you want to do it and if you’re not, then GET ON THAT. Anyway, I think thats enough from me. Love you girl, we can (AND WILL) make it.
