This leather number was a complete experiment gone right, and I was feeling it so I went with it! Since my hair has been in a ‘fro, I’ve been wearing more outfits that fit the ‘fro, and made me adjust to it more. My jacket is from Forever 21 (one of my best purchases from them, ever), my top is from Urban (who I sadly won’t be shopping with for a while after everything that’s happened), my shorts are from Zara, sunglasses from VS, and bag from Coach.
This look was worn out and about, running errands and I actually really loved it. It’s my typical late 90’s inspired look with a denim skirt a mini shoulder bag. My top is “Fendi inspired” (cringe, I know. but I liked it) from Urban Outfitters (who unfortunately no longer has my business), my skirt is from Topshop, the bag is from Monki, and the belt from Fossil.
Things are finally starting to open up now, so I’ve actually been really excited to wear more looks and see how many clothing combinations I can come up with since half of my clothes are still in London. Before I was using these “Quarantine Look” posts as something to look forward to and to document the outfits I wore during quarantine, but now that I can wear more looks, I think I’m just going to go back to documenting my everyday outfits since I’m a bit more excited to wear them now. How have you been expressing yourself during quarantine?
Happy June! I honestly can’t believe how fast time is going considering we can’t actually do anything.
This a casual grocery store look that I put together that I really liked that day. The grocery store has become my new runway and I always look forward to dressing up just to grab what we need lol. Do whatever you can do to stay sane people. I’ve been curating looks to really go all out for my next few shops so I’ll see you in my next post. Stay safe x
This is the first look of a sustainable series that I was assigned to do for university for a “Sustainably Radical” assignment. Everything used to style my models were articles of clothing or fabric and objects that we already owned. My goal with these looks (6 looks in total, more to come) was to spend the least amount of money possible, be sustainable, and contribute less to the fast fashion market by not ordering clothes for this shoot. My concept was to portray how fast fashion effects the sea surrounding the island I come from, as people only think the results of fast fashion can only be felt where the production takes place. But the ocean is all connected, and the fibers and dyes spread all over the ocean, through the waves and beyond, and I wanted to focus on the emotion I have towards that situation.
I recently styled 3 looks in response to the Glam Rock subculture of the 70s.
I recently styled 3 looks in response to the Glam Rock subculture of the 70s. I looked to the greatest fashion icons of the time for inspiration, including Bowie, Marc Bolan, and Elton John (at the start of his career). As you can see I had so much fun with the colors and textures, including sequins, glitter, and metallics. My style is usually 90s grunge or 2000s Britney spears era inspired, so this was a huge contrast to me, but I absolutely LOVED the challenge and the outcome. I hope you all enjoy!
While my parents were in London, we went out to Westminster to meet with my dad’s friend. The sun was shining, and the breeze was perfect, and I just had a moment where I felt extremely grateful. I always feel grateful, but this time was so different. I just felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be, and I was doing everything I’m meant to, and I rarely have that feeling. The second photo is the background of the first photo, through my eyes. And what I saw while I was thinking about everything it took for me to get to where I am now. There’s not many photos in this post, but I just felt like sharing 🙂
One of my favorite shoots to create and model for..
Over the summer, I styled a 90’s/early 2000s inspired photoshoot and I enjoyed it so much. I’ve been modeling since i was 14 years old, and I love every bit of it. The photoshoots, the networking, the fashion shows, the list goes on. But I also love the creative side behind the scenes: styling, creative direction, etc. So I try to do collaborations with local photographers as much as I can. Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot below.
Long time no see. Here’s a quick little outfit of the date from a breakfast date over the weekend. I can’t believe that summer came and went just like that, and I’ll be back in London in 3 weeks. Already can’t wait for Christmas!
