Quarantine look: 3

Happy June! I honestly can’t believe how fast time is going considering we can’t actually do anything.

This a casual grocery store look that I put together that I really liked that day. The grocery store has become my new runway and I always look forward to dressing up just to grab what we need lol. Do whatever you can do to stay sane people. I’ve been curating looks to really go all out for my next few shops so I’ll see you in my next post. Stay safe x

Quarantine look: 1

Since we can’t leave the house, I’ve decided to use every opportunity I can to wear a cute outfit. I know, I sound crazy. But if dressing up gives you a sense of sanity and control, then you’ll understand. I decided to make a mini series here on my blog, and document outfits I’ve worn during this time, not only to look back on but to get back to my roots. I originally made this blog to post outfit inspiration and style tips for people who needed them, and I feel like over the years I’ve strayed away from that, and created more of a lifestyle blog. I’ve been finding my love for clothes and creating looks again, so expect some new outfit posts from me during this pandemic and beyond! Outfit details below.

Zandra Rhodes Exhibition

Before visiting this exhibit, I’ll admit, I didn’t know who Zandra Rhodes was. I was looking for new fashion exhibits in London because I love to see the way different designers did/do their craft. It was so interesting to see her designs and to realise that her work has probably inspired many of the lifestyle wear that’s around today (being from the Caribbean and working at a lifestyle retailer, it’s been interesting to compare her work with the lifestyle brands we sell in-store!). Below are a few photos of pieces that I found really interesting.

This sunflower dress caught my eye first, because it’s my favorite flower, and second because so the cool materials and patchwork details that were used
I love how campy this dress is and the way it reflected light. I also don’t see many pieces with foil fabric, and I noticed that she used a lot of that
I loved the detail, materials and costume-like appearance of these pieces. As you can see she used the metallic/foil fabric again!

For Bay West

for Bay West

Over the summer, I was apart of a photoshoot for an up and coming local skincare brand, created by a lovely friend of mine. The shoot was so dreamy and the photos came out so beautiful, that I wanted to share them on here, as I can’t post them all on instagram haha. So have a look through and enjoy.

The Butterfly Effect

The butterfly effect

Another concept that I wanted brought to life. I am so proud of the outcome, so I’ll just leave the photos here for you to enjoy.

The Attic

One of my favorite shoots to create and model for..

Over the summer, I styled a 90’s/early 2000s inspired photoshoot and I enjoyed it so much. I’ve been modeling since i was 14 years old, and I love every bit of it. The photoshoots, the networking, the fashion shows, the list goes on. But I also love the creative side behind the scenes: styling, creative direction, etc. So I try to do collaborations with local photographers as much as I can. Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot below.

Enjoy! XO- Ally

sunday’s are for brunch

Sunday’s are for overpriced bruch! LOL. Here’s a little outfit of the day from my latest brunch outing with family. Believe it or not, my dress and shoes are from outlet stores! So many people talk about having budgets, and blaming that for the reason they cant dress well, but budgets shouldn’t hold you back from being stylish! My dress is from TJ Maxx and my shoes are from Nordstrom rack, so definitely never sleep on those stores next time you come across them!

Dipped in Acid

A little OOTD for ya

Just an everyday outfit outfit picture. There’s nothing much to it, and not much that I did this day haha. For this look, I paired a mesh dragon top from Bershka and paired it with acid wash jeans from American Eagle Outfitters. I finished the look with my usual air force ones and accessories.

Dotted

A quick OOTD

Just a little outfit of the day to show you guys. I’ve been loving polka dots and flatforms, so here’s a look with how I styled both! My romper is from Zara, shoes from nordstrom rack, and purse from forever 21.

What I wore to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant

I really loved this look. This is what I wore to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant a few days ago. Believe it or not, I bought this suit on sale at Topshop! Definitely one of my best sale finds to date lol. Underneath, I wore a little ribbed bralette from Pink and my simple everyday accessories.
